Hydro-Power Cooperation
The two countries have enjoyed longstanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the hydro-sector. Till date the Government of India has constructed four major hydro-electric projects (HEPs) in Bhutan totaling 2136 MW. Bhutan exported electricity worth Rs. 2443 crores to India.
