IT Centre for Excellence, set up in Victoria with GOI assistance was inaugurated at Mont Fleuri, Mahé in April 2011. Lines of Credit have been extended since early 1980s. In 2012, an LoC of USD 50 million and a Grant of USD 25 million were announced.
Over 1% of the local population form part of ITEC alumni who have so far benefited from various training courses under the ITEC program. In the year 2019-20, a total of 42 civilian and 38 defence personnel have gone to India from Seychelles for training in different ITEC programs.
