Govt. of India provided lifesaving drugs and protective gear worth US$ 100,000 to the Govt. of Suriname to assist in its fight against Covid 19 pandemic in August 2020. As a gesture of solidarity, GoI donated 50000 doses of made in Bharat Covishield vaccine to Suriname on March 2021.
