IRFC, established 31 years back on 12th December 1986 has traversed a long journey and crossed various milestones on the ‘Track of Excellence’. To commemorate the occasion, IRFC celebrated its 31st Annual Day at Manekshaw Centre, Dhaula Kuan on 9th December 2017. Incidentally, the event was organized after a considerable gap of 12 (twelve) years.
The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways & Minister of Communication (Independent charge). Shri Sinha was joined by Shri B.N. Mohapatra , Chairman, IRFC & Financial Commissioner (Indian Railways), Shri S.K. Pattanayak, Managing Director, IRFC and Shri Niraj Kumar, Director Finance on the dias. Shri Sinha acknowledged the active role play of IRFC is playing in the development of Indian Railways and congratulated the IRFC team and management for their unique contribution in Railways’ growth & progress.
The event was memorable for IRFC employees as the former Chairmen, Managing Directors and Director-Finance were felicitated by the dignitaries. The celebration started with the launching of the Corporate film on IRFC and followed up with a cultural program.
The highlight of the annual day celebration was the excellent dance performance by SRISTI, a Kolkata based renowned dance troupe led by the famous Bengali Cine Actress Indrani Dutta. The musical ballet supplemented with the light and music show mesmerized the entire gathering.
